Editorial Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026.

SkinDaily exists to give beginners clear, honest skincare information. This policy explains how we research and write our content, what we will and will not claim, and how we handle corrections.

How we research

Every guide is written by Shazam and checked against dermatology guidance and other reputable sources, such as peer-reviewed research and guidance from dermatology associations and public health bodies. We read ingredient lists and product information rather than repeating marketing claims, and we look for evidence before we recommend a routine or an ingredient.

What we do not do

  • We do not make miracle claims. Skincare takes time, and no product works for everyone.
  • We do not invent product testing, before-and-after results or personal trials we have not carried out. If we have not tested a product ourselves, we do not say we have.
  • We do not present sponsored content as independent advice. Any paid or affiliate relationship is disclosed on our Disclosure page and in the article itself.
  • We do not give personal medical advice. Our articles are general information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan.

Accuracy and updates

We review our guides regularly and update them when guidance changes or when we find a mistake. Each article shows when it was published and, where relevant, when it was last updated.

Corrections

If you spot an error, please tell us via our contact page or by emailing shazambutt@gmail.com. We correct factual errors promptly and note significant corrections on the article itself.

Independence

Brands do not pay us to write about their products, and advertisers do not review our articles before publication. Our recommendations are based on the evidence we can find and on whether a product is practical and affordable for everyday use.
